Secrets to Success: Understanding What Sets Top Journals Apart


Professor Giampaolo Viglia holds a part-time appointment as a Professor of Marketing at the Faculty of Business and Law. Additionally, he serves as the Research Lead for the Marketing Subject Group and holds the position of Editor-in-Chief for Psychology & Marketing (3 ABS). Furthermore, he is an Associate Editor for Annals of Tourism Research (4 ABS) and Journal of Business Research (3 ABS). Currently, Prof. Viglia is an active member of the Editorial Boards for several reputable journals, including Tourism Management (4 ABS), Journal of Service Research (4 ABS), Journal of Travel Research (4 ABS), Journal of Advertising Research (3 ABS),

International Journal of Hospitality Management (3 ABS), and Journal of Services Marketing (2 ABS). He also serves as an Associate Editor for Service Industries Journal (2 ABS) and Tourism Review (1 ABS).

   

Professor Jay Kandampully is a distinguished academic specializing in Service Management and holds a professorship at The Ohio State University, USA. He also holds the esteemed position of CTF International Fellow at the University of Karlstad, Sweden, and an International Fellow at the University of Namur, Belgium. Moreover, he serves as a visiting professor at the University of Naples Federico II, Italy, and Furtwangen University, Germany. Professor Kandampully currently holds the position of Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of Service Management (JOSM) and is a member of the editorial advisory board for ten reputable international journals.

Among his notable publications, Professor Kandampully is the co-author of the recent book titled "Service Management Principles for Hospitality and Tourism," in collaboration with David Solnet. He is also renowned as the author of the best-selling textbook "Services Management: The New Paradigm in Hospitality" and the lead editor of the book "Service Quality Management." He has further enriched the academic landscape as the editor of several influential books. In addition to his extensive editorial and authorial work, Professor Kandampully has authored over 130 articles centered around the realms of service management, marketing, service brands, and service innovations.

   

Prof. Chatura Ranaweera is Professor of Marketing and Chair of the Marketing Area at the Lazaridis School of Business, Wilfrid Laurier University. He is also the co-Editor in Chief of the Journal of Service Theory and Practice. His research has appeared in numerous journals across disciplines including Marketing, Operations, and Management, in addition to Service research.  He has also been the recipient of a number of major external research grants from both the public and private sectors, including the Social Science and Humanities Research Council of Canada.He has also received numerous research excellence awards, including best paper awards at the American Marketing Associationas well as at the Academy of Marketing Science

conferences. Prior to joining Laurier, he has worked or consulted for a number of leading organizations including Accenture, British Telecom, and the World Bank. Dr. Ranaweera is also a Fulbright Scholar and a Cambridge Commonwealth Scholar.

   

Prof. Anil Bilgihan is a professor at the Florida Atlantic University within the College of Business where he holds the Dean’s Distinguished Research Fellowship. He has over 100 refereed journal articles that have received over 15000 citations in the areas of e-commerce and Hospitality Information Systems. He holds a Ph.D. degree from Rosen College of Hospitality Management and an M.S. degree from the University of Delaware. His research involves the use and impact of technology, user experience, digital marketing, and online social interactions in the services industries that appeared in prestigious journals including Tourism Management, Information & Management, Internet Research, International Journal of Hospitality

Management, Computers in Human Behavior, Electronic Research Commerce and Applications, Journal of Service Management, and International Journal of Information Management among others. He is the co-author of Hospitality Information Technology, Learning How to Use It. He is the associate editor of the Psychology & Marketing and co-editor of the Journal of International Hospitality Management. He is the recipient of several awards including the FAU Scholar of the Year, Cisco Extensive Research Award and Highly Commended Award winner of the Emerald/EFMD Outstanding Doctoral Research Awards.
